SOULEYMANE’S STORY (12a)

d. Boris Lojkine Fr 2024

Souleymane (Abou Sangare), is a recent immigrant from Guinea who has two days to prepare for a crucial asylum interview. He works illegally as a food delivery cyclist while being coached by a dubious social worker, who provides him with a fabricated story to present to the authorities. Exploring themes of exploitation and moral dillemmas faced by those seeking a better life, this tense and moving film won a Jury prize winner at Cannes…another one not to be missed!
