DESCRIPTION:(note – price above includes all booking fees and historic building levies) \nThis show brought to you by Redhills Live in association with Big Mouth Productions. \nWe feel lucky and privileged to have secured a date for this one! \nSimply Dylan is the brainchild of John O’Connell. No frills\, no gimmicks\, no pretence – this is ‘a tribute to Bob Dylan\, not a Bob Dylan tribute’. \nHis band’s precise playing and high-energy renditions of Dylan’s work from the 1970s onwards have gathered momentum and generated incredible interest from modest origins as a project recognising Dylan’s 70th Birthday in 2011. \nSince then Simply Dylan have gone from strength to strength. Their tours take in some of the finest venues in the land – from The Lowry in Salford to Liverpool Royal Philharmonic to the Glasshouse a bit closer to home. And they’ve also sold out the Cavern Club multiple times\, received fantastic reviews for their international tours and opened up the Big Top Stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. \nWe’re bringing the acoustic version of the show to Redhills\, featuring a super-talented multi-instrumentalist 4-piece band that includes violin\, sax\, acoustic and electric guitars\, banjo\, mandolin and harmonica alongside soul-stirring vocal harmonies. \nTake it from us – this will be a great show! \nLast word goes to Alan Bleasdale\, playwright of Boys from the Blackstuff fame. \n‘Together\, Simply Dylan marry the extraordinary range and beauty of Dylan’s lyrics with the joyous and exuberant\, celebratory sound I have always secretly wanted to hear whenever\, in recent decades\, I have listened to Bob Dylan. No one can ever go back in time to recall the wonder and near disbelief of discovering Dylan for the first time\, but I can make no finer tribute to Simply Dylan than to reveal that they allowed this old man to go back and listen again with love to his first and only hero.’ \n  \nBar Open: 6.30pm\nDoors: 7.00pm\nFirst set: 7.30pm – 8.20pm\nSecond set: 8.40pm – 9.30pm (approx) \nSet lengths approximate.
